What is a "green factory"?
A green factory refers to a factory that achieves intensive land use, clean production, waste recycling, and low-carbon energy. The green factory is the production unit of the manufacturing industry and the implementation entity of green manufacturing. It is the core support unit of the green manufacturing system and focuses on the greening of the production process. Green factories are a manifestation of the strength of industrial enterprises that are at the leading level in the industry in terms of energy conservation, environmental protection, and green development, and are a booster that promotes enterprise development. Green factories are divided into three levels: national, provincial and municipal.
The entire national-level application and selection process is under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, and is reported step by step by the industry and information departments at all levels. The final assessment is made by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
