It is a kind of switching device which is mainly used for “isolating power supply, switching operation, connecting and cutting off small current circuit” and has no arc extinguishing function. When the disconnecting changer is opened, there are insulation distances and obvious disconnection marks between contacts that meet the specified requirements; and when the disconnecting changer is closed, it is a switchgear capable of carrying current under normal circuit conditions and current under abnormal conditions (such as short circuit) for a specified time. It is generally used as a high voltage disconnecting changer, that is, a disconnecting changer with rated voltage above 1 kV. Its working principle and structure are relatively simple, but due to its large usage amount and high working reliability requirements, it has a great influence on the design, establishment and operation of substations and power plants.
